What are the advantages of a reed diffuser?
Reed diffusers provide a more subdued but longer lasting fragrance than wax melts or candles without the need for an open flame. Depending on the temperature and humidity, our diffusers can last anywhere from 2 – 4 months.
What are the disadvantages of a reed diffuser?
Although they provide a longer lasting fragrance, the intensity of the reed diffuser fragrance is less than a wax melt or a candle. We recommend that the fibre reed sticks should be flipped weekly to provide an extra scent boost. In larger rooms, we recommend using several diffusers in opposite corners.
How long do reed diffusers last?
Depending on the position within your home, our reed diffusers last anywhere from 2 – 4 months. In very small rooms, they may last even longer. If the diffuser is placed near an open window or radiators, the oil will diffuse faster, and this time may be reduced.
Where should you not put reed diffusers?
Reed diffusers should not be placed directly onto polished, painted, plastic or leather surfaces or on electrical equipment. Any spillages should be cleaned immediately.
How often should I flip reed diffuser sticks?
All our diffusers are supplied with fibre reeds. Although we recommend you flip your reeds weekly to ensure your diffuser performs at its best, fibre reeds do not need to be flipped and can be left alone if preferred.
Are Diffusers safe for dogs?
Our reed diffusers are made with oils not tested on animals. None of our products have been tested for safety with animals. We recommend that diffusers are always placed on surfaces out of reach of children and animals. You should always consult your Vet if you have any concerns.
Why doesn’t my reed diffuser smell?
If your diffuser isn’t empty, we recommend turning the reed sticks. If this doesn’t help, you may need to replace the fibre reeds. We also recommend moving your diffuser to room that is used less often to give your nose a break. Due to human physiology, we sometimes become affected by something called sensory adaptation. In simple terms, our noses become used to the persistent smell and our brains choose to ignore this. This is why we recommend moving your diffuser to a room used less often. After around a week, you can move your diffuser back and you can then enjoy your fragrance once again.
Are reed diffusers safe?
Reed diffusers are generally safe to use but only if they’re used for their intended purpose. Diffusers should always be placed out of reach from children and animals. Any spillages should be cleaned immediately. If you get the oil on your hands, you should wash them with soap and warm water before handling food or touching your face. Diffuser oil should never be ingested. If ingestion occurs, you should consult your Doctor immediately.
